I would be more worried about the turbo if I were say racing where I get it up to top speed and then shut it down. If not, for the most part, when I get to where I am at, I am usually pretty slow and by the time I shut down, it is about 400 give or take.

I think most often by the time people go to turn their engine off, the EGT's are hovering near 400 degrees. That's mainly why we don't see coking issues. Heck, by the time I finish a run at the drag strip, drive down pit road, and park the truck, the EGT's have already cooled to 400 or less. It doesn't take long to get to 400, but it does take FOREVER in some cases to get to 300 degrees. That's why I don't bother.
