washing baseball caps?

I have several baseball type caps that are very dusty and need washed. Can i just throw them in the washer with my other clothes or do I need to do something special with them so they don't lose their form? thanks!!

If they're just everyday old hats then maybe the gentle cycle will be ok; if they have other/sentimental value and you want them to last forever, I'd recommend hand washing in cold, soapy water and use a soft brush for agitation.

I believe some bills used to be or maybe still are made of cardboard so that could be an issue.

We always used this nifty contraption( Baseball Cap Washer ). We always washed them in the dishwasher and never had a problem. We did this all through the baseball years and now.

Never had a problem running them through the washing machine with my jeans and flannels. It's easy to straighten the bills back out, and on average my hats last a year or so with daily use and about weekly washing.

Don't use a clothes dryer!! They will surely shrink. Let them air dry somewhere inside the house.

I wash mine in the washing machine, then fit them tightly over the bottom of a pan to let dry. Works great!

Washing baseball caps is like washing your coffee mug at work..............you don't.

I wash them in the washing machine on gentle, then stuff with a towel to reshape and dry.
