It was getting time to remove my old 2" add-a-leaf front springs(came with the truck) and upgrade to some HD springs. With the gooseneck, the front springs were getting overloaded and were starting to creak.
I looked around for some replacement 2" springs and found the "X" springs. I purchased the OEM Ford springs for almost 200.00 less than aftermarket units, at $160.00 each +tax. With the "x" snowplow springs up front, the front capacity is raised to almost 2000LBS over stock springs.
I am very impressed with the springs although, they are a little firm, that is to be expected though. I will upgrade to some Old Man Emu shocks soon, to soften the ride up .
The "x' springs should net at least 2" of lift on most V10 truck and probably 1.5 after settling. I highly recommend the "X" springs for people looking to upgrade, and still keep quality Ford parts on there truck.
Here are some pics of the install for fun.

Bolt hit the Y-pipe, so I had an excuse to change the bushing
Towed the gooseneck loaded with 8500LBS this weekend and it worked perfectly. The springs combined with the rear airbags worked great. Very stable and secure. Go V10!!
I will be picking some OME shocks up soon, and will keep you updated.
