1962 Ford M151 Engine/powerpack pull.

I found this 1962 Ford M151 on E-Bay and here in Texas too.

Paid $300.00 and it was a great deal!

This was perfect for what Nate and I wanted to build a Baja 1000 Desert racing pre Runner.

This M151 is not a DEMIL or in other words was never cut into pieces by the DOD.

I I purchased this old Gem went and picked her up and went straight to work on her the next morning!

I put her up on some tires and rims, and began to take all the different body part off for restoration.

Power pack pull was done in 17 minutes from begining to end.

Same here Bronco!

I am now a Retired Army Tech Mech and I preffered working on the old Mutt's.

The HMMWV changed so many things in the Motorpool most of all working room...LOL

After I retired my Son Nate and I began searching for M151's and other Military Jeep's to work on together and now we own 11 *****'s Jeeps and 4 M151 series Mutt's.

This one we are posting about we decide to build a Baja racer out of and the mods are nothing more then ideas I had written down in the Motorpool over 23 years of service.

I had a great chance to work on M151A2 FAV's in Iraq and Afganistan as hardly anyone had any idea how to work on them...LOL

Most of us old guys are eitther retired or getting ready too.

The funny thing is they are now bringing in the new Carolina Growler Mutt's and all these young guys have to go back to school to learn about how they work...LOL

Keep a eye on our progress as we are a fast working father and son team.

Bleddyn and Nate
