Trans swap ?????
Am curios if its possible to put a newer auto trans with more gears into my 02 v10 sd? I have the automatic with shift on the fly. Seems like ford re engineered the trans on newer trucks and they have more gears .

There is no subject that can be beaten to death on the internet. They all keep coming back!
The short answer is yes, it can be done, but you could by yourself at least two new trucks for less money than installing a five speed TorqShift trans in an older truck.
