'87 CrewCab exist?

I have decided through my reseach(mostly on this site, THANKS GUYS!) I need to get an '87 F-350, 6.9L, 4wd, 5-spd. CrewCab.
Am I searching in vain??? I've only been looking for a few days but I have yet to even see a picture of one. I have a '90 gasser that is otherwise just what I want and I'm pretty sure I've seen '88s. Did they leave the crewcab out for the first year of this body style? Dodge did a lot of that stuff when they changed body styles. I'm hoping Ford was better at consistently making all body types available.

Thanks again for your help!!!

Well a quick google search brought up several older listings for '87 crew cabs for sale, so they certainly exist.

However, you're gonna run into a few problems...

#1, The more commas you add to the description of what you're looking for, the harder it'll be to find what you're looking for Especially on something as old as an '87.

#2, Many of the crew cab F350's you'll come across will probably be duallies,

#3, MOST F-350's/crew cabs/duallies you find will probably be old beat up work trucks.

I was trying to find an F350 for awhile and found this to be more common than not. Before '99, not too many people bought F350s for drivers. Why, I have no idea.

They are out there, I am trying to get enough extra money that I can go pick up an 86 F350 crew cab just down the road from me.

Well just today I recieved my "Diesel Power" magazine and they had an article on "the forgotten diesels" and there is a Ford promotional picture of an '87 F-350, 2wd, CrewCab, dually in the article. As usual they put a big blurb on the cover to get you to buy the mag. but there is virtually no actual info inside.

I'm sure they are gonna kind of be beat-up but that doesn't bother me as I'ts gonna be a work rig/daily driver. I won't have to baby it that way. I like real world work rigs. A well-used car is a piece of junk, a well-used truck is cool. I'm sure I'll run across a bunch of DRWs and I definitely want a SRW.

Thanks Dave S. and ghunt!

You've limited yourself quite a bit looking for a one year only truck. I wouldn't count out the later 7.3 trucks in your search. You just need to be prepared to find one that has been taken care of coolant wise. If you are partial to the 6.9, you can always swap one in place of a 7.3.

When I was looking for my crew cab, I looked from 87-95, because I wanted a 5 speed truck. It took a lot of trips, a lot of phone calls and test drives to find the right truck. Ended up finding mine not too far from home.

I would rather buy a 7.3 that shows signs of being cared for than a 6.9 truck that hasn't.

RCrawler,
I recommended just that to a customer of mine the other day. He has a 5 spd. 4wd, ext cab, 7.3L with an ATS turbo that's getting a little worn out (300K) but still running. He came in asking about what year Dodge to get. I told him I'd get a 6.9L core rebuild it and swap his turbo onto it when he's ready or the 7.3L gives out.
For myself there's something about finding out what truck (I think) is the best and seeking it out. I must have some kind of "collector" deficiency.

You could also look for a 1986 F350 crewcab 4x4. Those should also have the D60 on the front. Then swap the T19 tranny for a ZF5, generally, a ZF5 is cheaper than a complete diesel engine. But as RCrawler said, getting a 7.3 powered truck and swapping the engine will cut your search time down significantly. I spent nearly a year looking for my diesel, and it was still far from perfect.
