Bed Strips
Hi All,
I posted a want add it the FTE classifieds and have not gotten a response yet. The bed wood in my truck is shot and the bed strips are rusted out. I was wondering If anybody Has a good used set of bed strips that I could purchase? I know that a new set can be purchased for around $50.00 This truck bed is not worth the cost of a new set. I just want to put a floor in this truck and make it look a little better. Maybe you have upgraded to stainless and still have a usable set?

I wish I'd known this last summer when I brought you those other parts, Chris. I sold all the old boards and strips at the Zephyrhills show a while back for next to nothing. They were just in my way...

You snooze you looze, I passed on a set a few months ago because I did't have the twenty bucks in my wallet. I got the guys # and called later. He said that he threw them out because they were in his way.

If you really aren't going for looks but rather just having something there, why not just trim a piece of 3/4 RDX plywood and bolt it in? Your bottom cross members look ok and you don't see those anyway.

A friend of mine just used plain old steel strapping he had laying around. He had to cut it and drill the holes but if you have something laying around you can do it cheap. If not with the price of steel now days $50 is cheap.
