Solid Axle Swap Help
I have a 87 f150 fullsize and have been wanting to do the D44 front 9" rear swap for a while now. I have the complete axles hub-to-hub and was just wondering what else I would need, what is involved in doing it

You need alot of time and patience. and an extra set of hands or 2 help also. I did this last fall. Your coil springs will mount to the axle different probly need new brake lines ot connect to the different style caliper. My truck already had brake line extensions and i just had to flip them over and they worker great. Also you will need the mounts for the radius arms to the frame and i beleive that was about the only drilling i really had to do. We cut the pan hard rod to i think about its length and had to drill a few holes to mount that. just take your time and make sure its strait. It was a learning experience was was a full 3 day weekend. good luck and let us know how it goes for you.
