On my 88, when I went to a larger/wider tire, the fronts rubbed on the radius arm with moderate turns. When I went to 95 stock wheels, the problem almost disappeared. You will need to consider the offset on the wheels and whether the tires will scrub on turns.

For street tires I would put 295 50 15 or 295 60 15 if you can find it. 275 60 15 should be alright, but anything thats not this wide will look like crap on that wide of a rim.
For off road tires you would need at least a 32 11.50 15 or 33 12.50 15
