Probably one of the last to get the good rods.

I must have them too. My truck build date is 8-19-00. I will look next time I change the oil.

Did you have to drain the oil to look in the hole?

No oil comes out of the hole when you look thru it. Not even if you bump the engine over so you can look at the rods if they don't line up well enough for a good look.

Nope.No oil or coolant in there. It's just a plug next to the oil filter adaptor. I heard it is hit or miss whether you have the forged ones during the last few months of 2000.
Good news cuz now that the body is done I'm going to lean on the motor.I'd post a pic,but don't have a clue how to.

Thanks for the info. I will check after I close the store. I should have them, but I want to be sure.

I have read that any engine built after 10 - 00' were PMRs. If this is true you just made it.

I'd check it just to be sure. It isn't that difficult. Just go under the truck and remove the plug

Build a gallery from the user CP tab at the left hand side in the blue bar towards the top. Then you can link to it in post's by clicking on the edit gallery function and it will give you codes to copy and paste. Or we can just look in your gallery.
