anyone out there have any experiance with installing a Silverline exhaust system from Turbo back?? I am looking to purchase and install one on my 06 f-250 6.0
ciscofreak,
so the installation was not bad and a good fit?? single or dual?
I run a single CAT-back and really like it... There are some small fit issues (hanger rods too short, angles off by a degree or two), but nothing 10 minutes of time didn't overcome. I strongly recommend that you install it with the eye of a craftsman, but then check everything for fit/angle/droop after about 500 miles... Mine settled and required a subtle refit, but it's been great ever since. From whom will you purchase?
single here. No problems with install. Just sawzaw the stock down pipe and it all falls out. Then mach up everything loosely and then tighten when your happy. Easy...
I am not sure who I am going to get it from yet but from whatI have seen it is very inexpensive.. taht part I like..so you guys have only done the cat back huh? not from the turbo back?
Mine is turbo back. IMHO cat back is worthless. Cut that cat off and keep it for a rainy day at the dealership. I got the 5'' dual wall stainless tip and i think it looks good and not overdone.
I agree cat back is worthless...so is yours a 4" pipe with a 5" tip? single or dual? 3 1/2" or 4" down pipe from the turbo? sorry about all the question ...

Better yet, keep the cat intact and use a test pipe while your not "required" to run the cat.
i have single outlet. It is 3.5 inch pipe from the turbo and expands to 4'' at the elbow right past the bottom of the firewall. I have read that you dont really need a 4'' downpipe unless you are making big power. It would make the install a little bit more complicated with a 4'' downpipe. 3.5 slides in nicely and does not rub the firewall.
