I currently have a dual A pillar pod ( boost & pyro ) and I want to add trans temp, air pressure, and a DP tuner controller. My question is - How is the fit and quality of the autometer 3 gauge over mirror pod? Will it interfere with my overhead consul?
Tecman lives near me and he has a 3 gauge overhead pod and I really like it! I almost went with that instead of a pillar pod, and if I add anymore gauges that is defiantly what I will use. It has no clearence issues with the overhead console either.
anyone have any thoughts on installing an autometer z series mechanical trans temp in the overhead? I don't have the gauge yet, but I was wondering if it comes with enough of a lead to reach up there. I have also never installed a trans temp before, is it like the thermo coupler for the exhaust?
I just picked up the autometer overhead pod and my mirror is in the way.
How do I remove the mirror without breaking anything?
It looks like I can keep the mount where it is and mount the mirror upside down so the arm is facing down as apposed to up. Any thoughts. This is the original mirror and glass.
Just take a wide flat blade screwdriver and whack it a few times at the base, it'll pop off.
You can reinstall the mirror just an inch or so lower.
I ran an eyebrow tint on the windshield first so you cant see the back side of the mount thru the w/s. fugly
yes, the trans temp comes with a lead long enuff. and the velcro **** they send you with the kit is hokie, you'll have to use a bonding cement to really stick it.
