I've had the in channel ones on for a couple of years as well, no issues at all so far. I've seen the tape on ones come loose and flap around on other peoples rides, but it's probably all in the prep when you install them.
I have in channels and have not window issues. One just developed a crack (happens to be the driver one) so now I hear whistling. I would go with a high quality unit like Weathertech though. These are the AVG ones and they aren't that strong at all, whether in-channel or tape on.
In-channel, hands down. I have ran WeatherTech side window deflectors in my last four trucks with excellent luck. I would not even consider anything else.

Some reason I can not PM but can someone tell me what rims those are on Joe's truck...Thanks
I have the tape ones and have had no problems except hail damage on the passenger side. I would like to go to the in channel ones, but at one time I had read about them popping out of the channels, and was wondering if it was that big of a problem.
