have read and tried sugestions in another thread But im still not sure what exactly the problem is I eliminated the switch and the solenoid(going by the other thread ) not sure about the control mod. or coil I have power everywhere I should but no output from the coil (have power going into the coil) to the Distributor....any suggestions ??
Are you saying you have voltage going in the coil (+side of coil) and no voltage coming out of coil (-side of coil) or just no spark? If you have no voltage on the negative side of the coil then it sounds like the coil is bad. Try doing a continuity test to see if the coil is bad.
You should have the control module tested to see if it is good or not. You could also have a problem inside your distributor. Have your control module tested 1st.
Thanks will do, I'll post an update tomorrow ...I guess its possible for something to have gone bad in the distributor but I replaced it less than a year ago with a motorcraft unit ....
