Help with paint code
I have a 1955 ford F-100. I am planning on restoring it back to origanial. I am having trouble finding out the paint code. It says on the tag that it is a paint code X, but all of my books have no listing for that code.
Any help would be appreciated.

Here's a good place to start looking for info, tons of reference stuff for your truck;

your truck might be one of those trucks that were special ordered by a large company as a fleet truck with special fleet paint. Hopefully one of the guys that knows more about this sort of thing will come along soon.
After you get settled in here, try your hand at getting a gallery set up. We all love to look at truck pics and will pester you relentlessly until you get it done.

I don't know if youhave seen this site for paint colors but it's pretty good:
Ford, Mercury, Edsel, and Lincoln Paint Colors
It looks like your Regatta Blue is a car color and was only offered in 1955. The site has the PPG paint code. If you can find a paint chip page from 55 it will have it. I'll look around.

I found a picture of a 1955 Sunliner in White and Regatta Blue. Hopefully I can post it as we are having serious problems with picture posting at the moment. But I got a Url because it's a web photo...here goes:

Thanks Sandidande. I am relived that it is a color that I like, as I want to restore the truck back to origanal.
