Well, put them in torque them up & have the machine shop check them with a bore gage. Thats the only way to know for sure if it's going to distort them. I've never bothered to actually check a set after putting them in, I always recondition anyways.

You may get away with it but the straitness and roundness of the rod ends are critical. It could result in tight clearances or more likely highly uneven bearing wear.

i think i'm gonna use the rought setup, my 400 will produce roughly 320 hp and 440 torque with cast-alum piston and are 25 to 30% stonger than stock.
