For 83? up 17 digit VIN's in trucks & vans look at the eighth digit:
F = 302 2bbl
N = 302 EFI
G = 351W 2bbl
H = 351W 4bbl HO up to 87, EFI 88 and up
G also indicated 351W in Crown Vic's and Grand Marquis but you'll only find those in cop or Canadian cars.

Just happen to be in Canada hope i can find a 351
