Transmission Rebuild

I'm looking to rebuild the C6 thats in my 67 F100. I would like to do it myself to save some money, but I have never done one before. Where would be a good place to start? Are there any walk-throughs online?

C6's are pretty easy to rebuild with a few select tools. Inch lb. torque wrench, veneer calipers, Snap-Press spring compressor and some good snap ring pliers. Do a little research and get yourself a good rebuild manual first. I've done more C6's than I can remember. It costs me about $200-$225 to do one including a rebuilt converter and fluid, if it doesn't need any hard parts (drums, pistons, etc.). If you do need hard parts there are plenty of transmission parts houses that sell good, clean, inspected, used trans parts.
