Excursion 4" exhaust

Hello to all. I have a 2000X, and just installed a Dynomax (Walker) 4" exhaust on it. The over-the-axle tailpipe is hitting the tank and is 1/4" from the shock. It's been on a week, and the paint is wore off the shock where it's been rattling between it and the tank. I've tried every angle possible, but can't seem to remedy it. Curios if anyone else has had this prob w/4" exhaust on their X?

4 inch MBRP system and I never had an issue with it.

An exhaust shop may have to move the last hanger either further up or back and reweld it accordingly.

Magnaflow!

I have Magnaflow's 4" Turboback exhaust in 304 SS -- awesome!

It came out of the box and went right on the X with no mods. Lots of clearance everywhere -- well designed.

I think I paid about $425.

That's my 2 cents.

Those with MBRP exhausts, are you getting surface rust?

Silverline 302 SS did not have rear hanger welded on pipe or in the box they sent a universal but by the time it got here I had cut and rewelded the one off the old exhaust. It did take some manuvering to get it to fit without rubbing but eventually got it right and LOVE IT

I welded my own as well. I bought most of my tube, Y pipe, hangers from Summit, as well as all the bends that I could. I also bought some mandrel bends from the local parts house. My welds look sucky as well, but hey, they hold. I guess for the entire system I spent over $300, and half of that was for the Flowmaster muffler.

Oh, a quick word of wisdom: Use quality jacks and or quality jack stands.

When I tried to install my MBRP exhaust I had the problem of the elbow not fitting right. It was hitting the fuel tank and the rear shock. I spoke with MBRP and it turns out I had placed an order for a F250 superduty and not the Ex. The difference that makes a difference is that the tank is different in the Ex, which caused the clearance issue. I bought the correct elbow and all is fine in the world.

perhaps you were shipped the wrong kit?
