302 ID

trying to date my 302 #'s are EOAE and below that is D3C. I changed the rear main seal, had to match it up 1 piece '85. I thought this was an '80 but no 1 piece in '80 please help. I'm trying to get the right balancer and flex plate to cast out the vibration below 1200 rpm's.

If it's the one piece rear main seal block, you definitely need the late model 50oz inbalance flywheel/flexplate and probably the late model front damper too.

If that code is correct it is a 80 model 302. the entire code should read E0AE-6015-D3C. if you got the code from above the starter it should read this, or something similar. i don't belive that the 80 model 302's had a balance change, i don't think the 302 changed balance till 82. up until the i belive it was a 28 oz imbalance like the 351w's not sure though, keep us posted.
