I removed nothing- that's what they looked like out of the hole. I still wonder why #'s 6 & 8 are gunked up, but not 2 & 4??? I do have my home made cackle cure. I wonder if #1 & 3 will look the same?? NOW I'm thinking that maybe I couldv'e just clean the crap off these two, and slapped it all back together for FREE.

AARRGGGHH I guess you cant cry over spilled milk, especially with 200k on the clock. Plus I get single shots out of it

Looks like you had a bad Oring or two there. That's about it. HPO leaking to fuel side resulting in poor shot ends up with crappy looking injector. At least that is what it looks like.

SO basically if I hear ya right, and that's what it does look like to me, then all I really needed was new o-rings? Should I go chew the dealership a new *** for not even taking out the injector to see what was wrong with it? (or are they ready to be replaced at 200,000 miles anyways??)

Or should I shut up about this (to the wife) and be happy I got new injectors out of the deal?

I think the easiest way to justify any upgrade to the wife is show here the dealer repair estimate first, then say but I can fix it for only this much.

Anyone looking for a new Pulse? Have the wife call the dealer and get an estimate to R&R the HPOP.

Greg- there is no way physically possible to reach those last two bolts from the top. LIAR LIAR pants on fire....

Sorry, just ranting as I'm ready to take a sledg to the truck just cause it won't cooperate.

Any other tips on removing the fender liner????

I removed mine from the top. You need a combination of wobble extension and swivel, and a lot of patience.

UPDATE I got them off- I took off the shock absorber, pulled it towards the wheel, then pulled the liner away and got in there with a 3/8 ratchet and 13mm socket. Thanks for the advice, now I can let my blood pressure calm down hehe

I've pulled the VC's several times and every bolt comes out from the top for me. I've never pulled the fenderwell for any reason whatsoever.
