I had the cooper mt on my old f150 - did pretty good in the mud and decent on the street. Pretty decent in rain/snow too. They wore down pretty quick, but that could have something to do with the way I drive (ie a lot with the way I drive).
So yeah, I'd recommend them.
edit: should probably ask what you're using the truck for though??
I've been considering the stt's for my SDuty as well. They're priced right (compared to other brands) and I think that I have yet to read about someone complaining about their performance.
ive heard that the coopers do pretty decent offroad, if youre thinking about the same ones im thinking of then they look just like the toyos as far as tread pattern, have heard they do decent offroad, ive heard you get decent mileage, not great but decent if you keep em rotated and balanced and all, again i dont any ersonaly experience this is all jsut heresay
Thanks for the reply's. I'll be using these on my daily driver/weekend warrior. Living in southern oregon most 4 wheeling is on trails, in the mud, and occasionaly the snow. I'm open to other brands as long as it fits a 17 year olds still going to school budget. The cooper's I'm talking about are the Discoverer STT.
im 17 and also using that still going to school buget, check out the maxxs buckshot mudders, i know the new ones arent as good as the older ones but i still like mine, good price and pull decent offroad, seem to get decent mileage too, might wanna check em out
I'm much rather the Coopers than the buckshots.....
The STT's remind me a lot of the Toyo Open Country M/Ts, which are great tires, but much more expensive.
Don't know your area, but Baja M/Ts(not claws), Dayton Timberline M/Ts, Hankook RT03s(m/t), Kumho road venture m/t, cooper STT, and worst comes to worst buckshots.
Nothing wrong with buckshots, but they're not my favorite.
I was looking at the toyo's for awhile, but I've got a friend working at less schwab and he said that they're really heavy and isn't to good for gas mileage (not that any mt tire is).
well hes wrong, toyo mts are a great mud tire for alot of street use, they do decent offroad but thye have great street manners and get good mileage too
