#8 cylinder 250 psi max! Blow bye test came back positive in a negative way... Theres something wrong with the bottom end! Or theres something wrong with the compression ring.
in all honesty im speechless... I'm basically SOL... I owe $15,000+ on the truck. i can't afford not to have it. i dont have another vehicle. Its going to cost almost as much to get a new motor as it would for them to fix it. I have no $, no credit, and no savings....
Now there is the best theory I have heard all day. I had thrown out to Nolan a bad rod bearing or something to that effect but my theory did not explain the cylinder not firing. Bad pushrod maybe?
Thanks Brandon and everyone els. I'm headed over there first thing in the morning to talk with the tech and manager of the service department. I'm going to get some #'s on what it would cost to fix and or put a new motor in it... Just for the info. After that I will have to figure out what I am going to do with it. I just can't believe this is the deal for a truck with only 136,000 miles on it. But i guess there is a bad one in every batch. Also I don't know what kind of maintenance it received before I owned it. I guess thats the gamble in buying something used. If yall knew my luck with vehicles before this truck you'd feel really sorry for me, lol. I'm starting to think a go-ped sounds like a good idea but I don't think it will pull my horse trailer. I hate to loose faith in Ford vehicles but at this rate it is hard not too. But then again I look at alot of yall that are well over 200k with no major problems and it helps remind me that these are good vehicles I just don't have any luck left. Anyways I'm done rambling for now. I'm sure I will post tomorrow with any decisions made, perhaps in a new thread.
P.S Happy 200th post to me!!!

Ya but mine isnt from lack of fuel it just not burning it... Basically it is apparent that it is a compression ring. And even to fix that they would have to pull the motor to get the piston out form the bottom. Also I have driven this truck with this issue for over a month now I'm sure the cylinder wall is scored not only fro having a bad ring but also from having un-burnt fuel hanging out in there...
I had my motor pulled shorty after buying my truck. All the Houston Ford stealerships wanted $2500. I also had quotes for $1600 and $900. I only needed a piston cooling oil jet replaced so I did not require as much work as you will need but asuming your cylinder is in good shape I can't imagine yours will be much more than mine was.
The R&R of the motor is the labor intensive part of the job.
Ya I was searching online and found a this site with rebuilt, new and used motors. For alot less then a re manned one from ford. With warranties. My friend has a Uncle up north of here that is willing to do the swap for me for about $1000... I would defenetly being saving some $ I was thinking the whole motor that was used for emissions testing looked like a good deal... Let me know what yall think especially if you have any experience with new?used motors.... Thanks!!! Scroll to the bottom of the page...

I forgot about that "little" detail. For sure the motor has to come out.
Perhaps you could get some money back from the injector job and put it toward the engine repair now that you know what really is the problem.
That sucks Nolan. I can't assist with an engine pulling party either. Let's go left coast guys.
Nolan knows I offer my support/skill/time/tools/property for whatever needs to be done. I have the space, I have enough skill to turn wrenches, and follow instructions, and we can clear some time. Nolan, whatever it is just ask.
But no, I do not have the money to buy you a motor
