thats because k-mart is behind the times, you need to get with the program and use a real performance product like redners or walmart. all those "other" guys that claim to have a "real performance" product are just cheap knock-offs. you get what you pay for........

If you just ran the truck in park you won't get smoke anyway. I really did forget to take a plastic bag off my truck once when I washed the engine campartment and ran into town that way. Never noticed a thing until I came back a popped the hood again. I am not even sure if it would really smoke driving. Might and might not.

I did the same thing as you Tim years ago on the mud racer. I had a brand new K&N on it. As always I had to wash the engine after a race. Forgot to take the bag off.......The blower sucked the whole assembly down to about 1 inch tall in about 3 seconds. Kinda like those food savers. That was the point where I ran the intake inside the cab. LOL
