6-pack ?

Many years ago I bought an offenhauser 3 duece 390 intake, and couldn't come up with the $ for the carb kits. I was just watching "gears" (with Stacy David from trucks) and he was showing a kit for the Mopar 6-pack 440's, and said it worked with fords, too.

Anybody know if that's true or know of any other places to get a good deal on some carbs?

thanks!!

gosh I owned both and reasonably sure both were 2300-c holleys
they early ford were mechanical secondaries
the mopar were 2300-C vacuum secondaries 500 CFM center and 380 secondary
with the mopar two 4160 kits would rebuild the carbs and have a spare kit for the primary

Years ago, I had a 'cuda with 6pack. High rise Offy with the 3 2300's. Vacuum secondaries. Dont remember what rpm those sec's opened, but when they did, it was a seat plant all the way to 140, and then I would chicken out and not let it go any further. Hm, wouldnt mind hanging that setup on my 390..., I'll bet with some shopping you could round up those carbs.

Pick through this. It becomes relevant on the 2nd page about halfway down.

On my 440 6 pacs--I set it up with mechanical secondaries and it ran great. I would ask N.DUMMY if the ford and mopar carbs are the same part number-or correspond for both car-makers. 6Paks are great!!! I never had problems like I do with other setups...Bill

1962/63 Birds and 1962/64 Ford Galaxies could be ordered with three deuces.

Three Holley 2V's were used, but what the numbers are, I dunno.

I made the mistake of loaning out my 1960/64 Ford car parts catalogs to a guy in the local club, who must be planning to marry the D things.

I've been bugging him for months to give 'em back.

It's the same old excuse every (&^$ time I ask him....."I haven't finished researching them yet."

Uh huh....
