shifter play

Hey guys, My 89 f150 5 speed gots a 4in suspension lift and a 2in homemade body lift. but I've been having problems with the shifter. It has ALOT of play and the shifter lifts up and down. I dont now whats wrong. I really need some help.

And what shifter, the t case or tranny?

hey ride2die im still a newbie too but a homemade body lift????? asking for trouble with this thread!!!!!!

Please tell me that at minimum you welded washers or a plate with a hole to the top and bottom and you dont have a piece of pipe wallowing around a grade 2 bolt.


Anyway...
I doubt your body lift is causing your transmission trouble. Maybe post in the transmission forum. You probably have a zf 5speed.

not rippin yur body lift just saying ya need to back it up with using the good stuff and evn still body lifts arent gonna go over well!!!!
