No ideas other than I don't agree with all this flushing stuff as of later years.
I am afraid for you that who ever flushed your trans blew all kinds of crap through it causing a piece of dirt or crap to get stuck somewhere it shouldn't have.
I am from the old school and never had any problems draining the pan, converter, changing the filter, refilling and driving anouther 30k miles.

I know what you mean....I just dont have time anymore to do it myself.I have had this done regularly lately w/o problems.I have been searching and came up with maybe the solenoid pack.I also read a tread with the same symptoms.....and it was a sensor near the turbo(?wich one I cant remember?).....but I cannot find that tread again. From what I read the sensor is not needed.I will be making calls tomorrow....just wanted to see if I could get any input here.
Are you sure you got the filter seated right? I read once where the filter fell out (on an E4OD) and caused similar issues to what you are experiencing.
unless you turn the engine backwards, i dont know how youre going to flush it reverse with the method most use- removing the transmission cooler return line, and refill constantly as you drain the old stuff into a pan.
Don't they back flush transmissions when they flush?? may be they blew off the filter??
It's impossible to backflush a transmission. It can't be done.
If a flush is done correctly it doesn't add any pressure to the trans, or blow any crap through the trans. People that say that it can just don't know enough about how the flush works, or how a trans works.
Back to the original question, does it shift through all the other gears? Is the 1-2 shift the only one with a problem?

1-2 is the only problem.....truck has an older chip in it,wich is the only mod.250k on the truck
If this is still the original transmission at 250k you should count your blessings. I am barely over 205k and on my 2nd rebuild already. I place all the blame on my superchip but am going to continue to live with it until I die, or can afford a DP, which ever comes first.

Not sure if its the original.....I bought the truck last year with 125k on it.......of all the miles I have put on it,90% of them there has been a GN hooked up.It has never showed any signs of fatigue.I just would not think it would go like that.....I mean instantly(kinda why I am leaning towards something electrical)
Don't know what to say. My first went at 95k the day after towing a very heavy load from Tampa to Buffalo with absolutely no problems. Next day blooey. The 2nd went at 203k with almost no towing at all other than a Vdub Cabriolet only once in awhile. Trouble free, no warning got off the interstate and would not shift out of 2nd. Gone again, simple as that.
For "something to try", you might try dropping the pan and pulling the accumulator VB. Pull the clip out of the 1-2 valve and make sure it's not sticking or has some junk in it. Very possible since it just happened with your flush. Changing the fluid takes no more time than an oil change using Mark's procedure. You must have an hour or two on the weekends, don't you?
