I have a 2003 F250 FX4 XLT 75K and it does not have any get up go. I have replaced the filter with a K&N, replaced the fuel filter, and this week will replace spark plugs w/Motorcraft. Is there anything else to help get this thing going?
Look at my listing. Before going to mud tires, I could chirp 2 second with my 35" BFGs. Mine is all bolt-ons for now.
What kind of performance are you looking for? It will dictate what all your going to need. I want more, but a high stall torque converter will put too much power to the ground too quickly for when I am not playing and off-road. But I would really like to do heads and cams. I'd also like to do a light weight drive shaft from Dynatech, the metal matrix should be at least as strong as OE but half the rotating weight. If I could find a controller I liked, I'd do dual electric fans and Mezeires electric water pump. I have a 75mm throttle body, but the linkage is inverted so I haven't installed it yet.
Do the basics, Intake, exhaust, and tune. I am using Sniper's Special forces, which replaced my Superchips and made a major difference.
Things I wouldn't bother with again but I had to try: Poweraid Throttle body spacer and Tornado air director. Both were junk when coupled with my cold air kit.
Now I am very happy with my Denso Iridium plugs, they were an improvement over stock and the stock plugs were nearly gone at 60k miles.
