What fuel controllers are there for Fords? Normaly I build imports but I recently bought a 89 Bronco with a 351W and I have a turbo to put on it but I have no Idea on what fuel controllers are avaliable.
Also what type of air flow sensor does ford use? Hotwire?
i am starting my 351 efi turbo project in late nov. a boost sensitive fuel regulator is used in-line after your stock regulator, raising fuel rail pressure in relationship to boost. they are adjustable per pound of boost. about 9 psi can be achieved this way. an additional high pressure fuel pump may be required depending on the demands of your system. i have turbo'd a carb set-up but this will be my first efi. guys on "jyturbo" do it all the time. efi apparently is superior in performance especially when a turbo is introduced. can't wait!
A rising rate fpr is good but how can you adjust each curve? After a turbo is introduced diffrent RPM ranges will either be lean or rich so you will have to adjust for every 500 rpm to get max performance.
Or does the stock A/F sensor actually work for this?
Lets say you wanted to change fuel injectors how would you control them?
from talking to a guy who has a twin turbo with stock speed density i learned all he used was a boost sensitive fuel regulator. i believe he was also using an adjustable ingition retard. map sensor should have a 1-way valve so it never sees boost etc. i'm sure there will be bugs to work out but the fact there are decent workable examples out there means it can definately be done. - without mass air - . there's a lot more to it- intercooling, colder plugs, wastegate, special exhaust, etc., but after you do one system it seems pretty simple at the end.
