My friend has an f-150 4.9l that he has had worked on by the local garage.
the "check engine light" has always stayed on even after disconnecting the battery and various other tinkerings.
The latest news is that after diagnostics the code came up as transmission sensor and it was replaced and it still came on I mean this guy has gone through everything does anyone have ANY info or past experience on this?
tell him to try replacing the EGR (exhaust Gas Regulator). I had the check engine light on and Ford ran the code and thats what it was. one sign its the EGR going is getting awful mileage. hope this helps.
