Ok, with diesel at $4 per and climbing, I am thinking a programer or tuner to up the mpg on a 2006 CC FX4 6.0 with 49000 without voiding what is left of my warranty.
Right now I get 14-16 in town and 17-18 hwy. What can I realistically expect with a programer or tuner? Will the fuel savings justify the purchase? Appreciate your thoughts and advice.
Your going to have trouble maintaining your warranty once you add a tuner / chip. I run an Edge Platinum edition, which Im very happy with. Most on this forum like the SCT, however, I am very happy with the Edge. Youll be fine as long as you dont beat on the truck. In the mileage mode, I get 18mpg on the highway. Bear in mind I have 35x12.5 tires on a 4.5" lift. That was improved from 12-13mpg prior to the tuner. Good luck

Thanks 35w
No tuner needed; I have the same truck as you do pretty much and 18 hwy is pretty good. I would advise getting a SCT from SDT for performance. If you happened to get any MPG gain, well that would be great, but it is not a guarantee.

At first your milage will go down, because the truck is so much more fun to drive with a programmer, but after your done playing you'll gain maybe 1 -2 mpg.
