Thanks all, I am armed with some information now, look out. Paul, I love it, you came back and corrected yourself, hah. Actually I've got to buy a distributor so I'll just wait and see what I come up with.

If you go the route of the mustang computer, you'll want to look for an 89-93 computer. They are all mass air computers and do not have any transmission controls. The mustang computers changed starting in 94 with the timing strategies, and the automatic mustangs beginning in 94 were electronically controlled.

I'm thinking about it, but I'm not sure yet. I just got back from a couple laps of biking around the outside, and folks are already setting up.

Hey all, I'm back. Got stalled on my engine build and swap (truck is running fine with the 4.9, no big hurry). Just to update, swapping a 5.0, which I'm building into my 94 short bed that has a 4.9 six and manual tranny. i need computer and wire harness plus other assorted items (pulleys, brackets etc..)

I've found a great deal on a running 1990 F150 (less than $500). Can I use the computer, harness, etc. off of this setup since it is an auto trans? Please say yes! It will save me so much trouble.....

Thanks
