tranny compatability questions

I have this posted in the tranny forum, and I would like to see if I can use a 2.9 manual on my 3.0 engine.

A tranny from a 2.9L will not bolt up to a 3.0L.

Is there a particular manual tranny I should look at for the 3.0 (1999),
That will mate to a BW 1350 transfercase?
OR a auto 4x4 tranny. (please list tranny type/name etc.)

try calling or going into your local junkyards. You could probably get the info you are looking for in their cross reference books.

Only a 5-speed from another 3.0L vulcan will bolt up.
