ok i have a 69 and i got this truck the PO swaped the motor with a 460 and put a 750 holley and that carb come with whats needed to you the kickdown rod but it does not have one and the tranny is a c6 so what do i need to do should i find a junk truck if so witch one or should i make one and if so how?
Mine wouldn't work either after the carb was swapped with a 4bbl Edelbrock. My stepfather made a new one out of an old transmission line. Took a few trys but it looks stock now.
well i also need the bracket that goes on the tranny so i might just haVE TO find a junk truck but i have a 80 bronco with a 351m and c6 i might try to swap everything over and see if that works and is so i will just find another bronco kickdown. what did some of you do when yall did this swap?
lol thats what everybody ask me and my answer is i just like to be able to stomp it and break the tires loose almost any time i want with out pulling it down, i have a b&m pro shifter in mine but i don't really like it cuz you can over shift,(skip 2 and go to 3) or the other way around and let me tell you that sucks lol. and im anything but lazy so i thought what the heck lets get a kickdown rod.
I don't think I've ever run a kickdown on a c6. They don't really need it-
The one on the Bronco will probably be different since there were revisions to the c6 in the 20years between those two trucks.

Not only that, but the chassis/bodies of 1980 and later Bronco/F100/350's is completely different than previous years.
There are no 460/C6 kickdown rods listed for F100/350's prior to 1973.
Cars offered the 429 & 460/C6 combo beginning in 1968, but I doubt the various kickdown rods could be used in a F Series truck. The design/dimensions will be different.
well its been rainin so i can't do much of anything right now and i will probably try to make one out of all thread but i need to get it running agian now so.....so much for that if its not one thing its another.
