Got Edge installed!

Well I am pretty happy so far. I've only been able to drive my truck a little bit but level 2 really takes the sluggish response away. Did take 3 times installing the drivers for some reason but a quick call and Edge walked me through it. Was able to update unit before installing it with no problems. Guess it's time to read the custom tuning thread!

Let me know how the custom tuning goes. I found it a pia to set the shift points and other parameters!! When I would hit the up arrow, the numbers would first increment by tens, than jump to the hundreds, etc.. I would hit the down arrow and the same thing would happen. As soon as I was getting close to 5250, it would just a couple of hundred! I could never get the correct rpms set, so after 30 minutes of messing around with it, I gave up for the moment..

You were holding the button down too long. It takes bigger jumps, the longer you depress it.

I'm leaning ever-so-slightly towards one, just for the power increases I hear about. Just don't know about the cost-v-gains portion of it all. Silver Lariat and I had a disagreement about them, but he has answered some of my questions about them....What a quandry....grrr

I put a 4" lift & 32"s on my truck, so one reason I wanted it was to correct the speedo. I've heard the dealer can cost around $80.00 to do that and I'd rather put that 80 towards the edge. We have speed cameras here in Az and a couple mph off can be enough to get a photo radar ticket. I think those start around $130. Plus I've never been much for mods and wanted to indulge with this truck. I had powerstrokes the last number of years and miss the power. Glad I'm buying gas nowadays.

I have had my Edge a year and a half, 37,000 miles. I hope I never have to drive my truck without it or a similar tuner. Best money I have spent in a long time.

Well... Ive got it but that's all!

Well, my Edge is installed and as of this moment it will not program my truck. Everything else seems to work ok but when I go to program I get "can't find file TEJF5E7" which ironically is the .HEX file shown when I first connected it and it errors out. I updated it before installing it in my truck so who knows.

I waiting on EDGE to open so I can bend-their-ear this morning hopefully this will be a quick fix...

Well mines in, and I just drove 500 miles on it. Its Awesome. Its way better then I had expected.... Half way through the trip I stopped at summit and picked up an Airaid M.I.T. Intake thingy, and even though I was a little sceptical about it it works great and was CHEAP. Its ALMSOT like a full intake and was a little noticeable. Seems to have picked up a little millage too when My foots not planted to the floor.

you have to go to the web site and do an Update.... the update you are looking for wont be where you think it should be it will be in product updates like it should be but you are going to want to download the Fusion software, not Lightning.
