Fuel Pressure Gauge
I want to have a permenant fuel pressure gauge under the hood. I know to screw out the schrader valve and put the gauge in its place, but does anyone know the thread size I need. I think it may be 1/8" but im not sure. Also what size gauge will fit under there 1 1/2" or 2 1/2"? Will a glycerin filled gauge good for air, gas, oil, and water work for this? Thanks

It is 1/8" NPT. Why do you want to put the gauge under the hood? That's really difficult to keep an eye on.
I purchased a 2" Electric Fuel pressure gauge, Mounted the sender and pressure dampner at the schrader valve and have the gauge inside with me.
As far as mounting it under the hood, get some brass fittings, you might be able to get a 2" gauge under there depends on if you want to use the hood.
Of coarse if you use the hood you won't be able to see the gauge. Go figure.
By all means get a liquide filled gauge and it will work for you. If you use a dampner you can get by without the fluid filled gauge.
