I def agree, some people really need diesle trucks like farmers, truck drivers. But outside of that realm, I can't think of too many people who really need them. You woudn't think that by all the complaints though
Service and Installation Trucks....Contractors, alot more than just jacked up 4x4's that are 100K show trucks for mag's....try running 4 Installation vehicles full bore, see what fuel prices do to you, hell my fuel cost have been a bigger part of my overhead.....past insurance, and that's never happened. EPA is out of control and causing the fuel prices to get redicilous, that and no energy plan from the ***** House I mean White House.

I'm almost there, my truck then 3 tractors and 1 mower that all eat diesel. Although my 3 cyclinder tractor does pretty darn good for a 5 gallon tank, but my newer one just slurps it down like no one's business.
Don't forget us horse people. We need them too(atleast I think so).
Nice to see someone that thinks like me. My wife tolerates me and my horses, but I think she likes them more than she lets on. The higher fuel does limit how much I will be hauling this summer for trail rides and junior rodeos.
And then there are those of us that had a gun held to our heads and were forced to get that humongous diesel pushing class A RV bus or that big trailer that needs at least an F350 or better . I mean can we share some love here ?!

it might not be the most economical vehicle for me to have right now, but when i bought it, i wanted it and it was useful. but i got (1) horses right now, but there's more coming, especially after the wedding. that and we're looking at doing some farming, too, so we'll need at least mine, maybe another, too.

I tell you what, I hate to be starting out with my boarding/training/breeding business right now. It took me 5 yrs to get my books into the black, I can't imagine what it would be like for a business like mine now.
