My rig is not modified like yours. I imagine adding this regulator to my rig is not necessary at this time, right? What is causing your engine to defuel? Is it the high boost levels?
With my stock engine, I should see a maximum of what PSI boost?
Sorry for the questions.
It was the high boost that made the MAP sensor confused which gave the PCM bad info that was causing the defuel or loss of power.
Some trucks make more boost with more mods and never have this problem. so its pretty hit and miss.
Max boost is hard to pin point for different trucks. My stock 95 made 20psi out of the box. My current truck with mods sees a max of 32-33. Boost depends on alot of things. Stock boost is around 15 psi.
MAX of 25. Actually I just looked at my webshot write and I said 20 PSI there. Now I am not really sure what its set at! I need to take it off and check one of these days.
IICR thats is about right Tim.
Over 24psi will set a CEL? I have/use a blow off valve not a regulator.
Anybody know how to test a MAP sensor? Ohm meter maybe?
Not sure what the book says to test but the easiest way it to unplug the electrical connector and run the truck. if it runs better then you need a new sensor.
