big block suspension

If i descide to drop a 462 in my 55 ford f100, what do i need to worry about in my front end. Its all stock, but rescently rebuilt. Do i need to upgrade leaf springs? Some one told me that i should think about putting a mustang 2 front end on it. Would i accomplish the same thing if i put heavy duty springs in and did a disc brake conversion on it? Thanks

The Mustang II front suspension uses a rack and pinion steering system and the stock front discs are only 9" in diameter, although most folks opt for the 11" rotor upgrade. If you've recently rebuilt the front end, a set of stiffer leaf springs and disc brake upgrade might be good enough and definitely less expensive.

YEah thats what i thought, becuase a leaf and brake combo would only run mr like $600, instead of $1500 for the whole front end
