'95 Bronco, AT, 8.8" rear, significant vibration around 65 mph, but silk smooth up to 50 - 55, and more or less OK over 75 (but I hardly ever drive that fast). Tires and wheels were replaced a while ago, and made no difference.
A couple of days ago I was accidentally driving by a driveline shop, so I stopped by. They did a quick inspection and gave me a quote of a little over $500 for a new axle, with a note that something may be wrong with my T-case, too.
The technician told me that the axle is "loose" (whatever that means) but didn't say anything about U-joints or anything more specific. Does that sound like U-joints, or the double cardan?
Of course, with broncograveyard selling a shaft for $269 + S/H, I'll probably get the shaft from there if it includes everything.
