Ebpv
I've got low boost and have tried many things to raise it. When I hit her hard, she tops at 12 psi. I need to dig in and remove the turbo and look things over, at over 200k it's about time. My question is, and I know it's been answered 20 times here, but in my defense do a search on EBPV once... What does an EBPV do for me? I know it helps warm the truck on a cold MN winter day, otherwise is it just another spot for oil leaks (another reason I'm digging into the turbo).

The turbo is probably fine, but it's a good bet that you have boost and/or exhaust leaks. Check all 6 intercooler boots and clamps. Also inspect the up-pipes for soot behind the turbo. Soot = leak.
As for the EBPV, it typically doesn't leak much. More common is for the o-rings on the pedistal itself to spring a leak.
