I have a 86 ford escort it has a 1.9 4 speed fuel injected.It burned the control module out so I put another one on,went bout 100 miles bruned the second one out.Is there some thing that could be giving it to much power to make it burn them out or am I just getting bad modules?
Are you talking about the TFI for the igintion, if so are you putting the heat transfer compound on the back of it before you mount it up, it's like heatsink compund in a computer. Also yu may want to check the grounds and supply voltages in the system, too much heat or too much power/bad ground can burn them up.
yes the white greese is one it. this is the second one first one ran about 70 miles the second one went 6 miles does this happen on start up or does this happen ehen it is being run?? dumd ? here could it be happenin if the ignation switch is bad hat is something that I havent checked , what grounds would it be

No I didnt use Motorcraft I am afarid to put the real one on,cause of the price,When I find out what is burning them I will get the good one.Mine is the one (withEECIV)Stator appiers to be good ,soft rubber no burns or dark spots.How do you check the Stator to see if it is good?
