The high milage on my 2000 EB is starting to take its toll (258,000 miles). Little things (and sometimes not so little things) now need to be replaced all the time. This week its the lights that illuminate the AC/heater control buttons, they seem to have burned out on one side. Are those bulbs a servicable item? If they are how does one go about changing them and what bulb should one use?
By the way, I have the automatic climate control module, not the manual kind.
Manual controls? On my '01 I replaced (2) size 74 bulbs behind the climate control *****.
Pull off the plastic cover, remove four fasteners that secure the unit and swap out the bulbs from the back. Replacement bulbs were cheap at Napa.
Once the illumination is restored, you won't be turning the 4WD **** in error while fumbling for the fan.

Thanks for the quick reply, but my AC control unit is the automatic type (no *****, only buttons). Hopefully I will come to find that it is just as simple to change the bulbs though.
