replacing the mirror plastic lense?
hello again, forgot to ask if any one has replaced the outter plastic piece on the mirror. got new piece and not sure how to get the cracked one off.has anyone ever done this before? 05 crew cab psd. thanks....FFF

i messed with them a bit when i changed my lenses. there are 3 or 4 plastic clipsbehind the mirror itself. two on the bottom and one or two on the top. i took two long flat head screwdrivers, one for pushing the clip and one for pushing the plastic back. just undo the clips and and it will come off. its a bit of a pain but not too bad.

Ford only sells the black (or chrome) plastic piece with the amber LED already installed. I think I paid about $80 each for the black ones from Y2Kford when I bought them to replace my chrome ones.
I would recommend talking to our Ford Parts sponsors if you need them.

If all you want is the LED signal, you might want to look at the Recon clear or smoked ones because I think they look much better than the amber ones (the LED lights themselves are still amber). They run about $100 for the pain I beleive.

What side are you looking for? I have a passenger side amber that is like new I pulled out and replaced with the recon smoked LED lenses. The driver side had a small crack in it - not bad, but the passenger side is perfect. PM me if you are interested, we'll work something out.

RV77, I'm waiting for gtdan01 to get back to me about the passenger side lense. If he doesn't take it, you can have both, but you should know shipping isn't cheap to the US from Canada. You should be able to click on my name and view my profile and then click on "send an email" and I can give you a price including shipping and see if you're interested. You should be able to that with your number of posts, but not sure.

Hi RV77, gtdan took the passenger side lense so that one is gone.
I looked at the driver side one again today and it has two cracks in it. If you are interested I will take a photo, but I wouldn't charge you for the lense, just enough to cover the shipping since it is cracked, but at least there are no holes in it.
