Problems with new F150 4x4's ?
Looking at a used 2001 Lariat super crew 4x4 tomorrow. It has the 17inch wheels and the 5.4 engine.
Any thing to look for? Any real problems out there?
I'm trading in my 99 F250 cc/sb psd 4x4. Too big and i don't hardly tow.

Problems with new F150 4x4's ?
Interesting, I am looking for a new truck. Diesel, SD, super cab, 4x4 short bed. My reason:Present 5.4 4x4(1999) will not stay in overdrive going down the freeway pulling my Sammurai on a real small 4 wheel trailer.
Other wise the truck is 100% perfect.
Probably needs a chip of some kind to stop the stupid down shifting.
Maybe I should buy a supercharger.
I drove a new 2002 GMC diesel with the 5 speed Allison, Wow, real nice, but its not a Ford.
