I have a '99 Expy XLT. Bought it used Feb. of '06. Have had not one problem with it. Have the 5.4 engine. Runs great. It is epuiped with full leather and power, and towing package. I run Penziol Platinum in it and it feels great. I have to honestly say I love that vehicle.

We own a 1999 Expy used mainly for towing our travel trailer. The problems we've had are mainly those mentioed in this thread: The idle sensor died, the ABS sensor in the rear axle went faulty, the EGR position sensor went out. In summary, control sensors only. All other parts are holding together.

Had a spark plug blow out on mine, do a search and you'll find some info on this problem with some of the 5.4's
