Rough Idle

Cold starts seem to be real rough. Engine lopes like a huge cam gasser.
Seems like it's only firing on a couples cylinders, then clears up and runs fine.
Glow plugs again?? Just did them last year for first time in 230,000 miles so i'm thinking maybe something else?

15w/40 Rotella. Been running it for 5 years. Change every 5000.
Was reading some today and sounds like bad injectors.
How are they tested?
Trans in Neutral? why?

Also , the LPOP can cause the problem ,, not supplying enough oil at startup ....lighter oil helps ....maybe even synthetic.....

It'll only run that way for 5-10 seconds, then smooths right out like normal.
Did the cps about a year ago so not in any hurry to go in for the recall.
But may do it soon and just have a scan done while I'm there and see what comes up.
