Avic D3X Install
Great guy, who is very professional. He did the whole install basically by himself.
That included the D3X, the bluetooth unit(hidden under the center console), the ipod adapter(ran under console and up into the center console, which Im thinking about using some velcro to stick the ipod against the wall of the console so it won't slide around), and the backup cam which is snugged in between the hitch and the rear bumper. A great job. Still a couple things we need to tighten up but that will be taken care of this week.
Don't worry, pics will follow shortly. Lots of OT at the jail to pay for this and b/c all the old heads call out around holidays! Hope to have the pics up wednesday or thursday
BTW, for anyone in the market for a double din like this, it is a must have. My one concern is the fact it only has on slot. So I was worried about not being able to use the DVD and Nav at the same time. Well I haven't done it for long trips, but this unit allows you to d/l your route, take the nav disc out, and then play your dvd, all the while switching back and forth between the nav, and the dvd, and if you get a phone call or back up, it does it all w/o you ever having to touch the unit! This thing has already paid for its self!
Thanks again to Expansive
