yep, ruined another fpr spring. remember the last ones i kinked up(the original and the burned one)? well, i ordered a $51 rebuild kit for a 99-03 7.3 just to get that spring! and, i put it in, and it smashed it flat! the only spring it dont do it to is the weaker spring that a guy dug up for me. i had to cut the one he gave me to length, but it is working great! i had it in there, but ordered the kit to be sure to have the right thing in there. now i am back to the ole spring he found me in the bottom of a bucket that i said i had to trim, and i'm out $50 all cause i messed up an FPR shim!!!
i took it to ford to show a guy i know in parts for laughs and kicks in the butt and they said they would return it to ford as a bad spring. they had me get the VIN off dads 02 an give em for them to get re-imbersed
discontinued. no dealership in the nation showed one in stock
Really they couldn't special order it? I think you need to fix that stuck ball bearing ,as suggested find a used fpr set up from the scrap yard I know if I go to the pick and pull if they don't have it they can order it from another scrap yard anywhere in North America pay a bit extra but I get what I need, and still cheeper than new
