Backseat Removal Tips Needed
I have a 2002 Ranger 4-door and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or advice when it comes to removing a backseat? I'm looking to install a pretty good-sized box with a sub behind the driver seat, but it won't fit with the backseat in there.

Welcome. This is from the '02 Ford Manual:
Seat—Rear, Four-Door, SuperCab
Removal
1. Remove the rear seat heel board covers.
- Remove the outboard seat anchor heel board cover.
- Remove the inboard seat anchor heel board cover.
2. Remove the rear safety belt retractor.
- Using a size T-50 torx bit, remove the bolt.
- Remove the retractor.
3. Remove the rear seat.
- Remove the bolts.
- Remove the seat.
Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

i use to own a 1999 ranger 4door. i to had a sub box fit issue. i raised the rear seats 4inches. this way when they folded down they cleared the sub boxes. only shorter people could sit in the back but hey the truck did not lose function.
